Supported Projects

Examples of supported initiative types include:

  • Developing enterprise capabilities (e.g., lean construction, collaborative contracting)
  • Adoption of advanced technologies (e.g., digital solutions, robotics, automation)
  • Manpower capability building (e.g., innovative sourcing for skilled workers, job and process redesign, specialist training)

Expected Outcome

Firms must achieve at least one of the following outcomes:

  • Productivity improvement
  • Increase in skilled workers
  • Increase in local employees with higher wages (≥ S$5,000/month)
  • Increase in upskilled PMETs (Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians)

Requirements

  • Be a business entity registered and operating in Singapore
  • Operate in the Built Environment sector (developers, builders, sub-contractors, consultants, prefabricators, suppliers)
  • Demonstrate financial capability to start and complete the proposed initiative(s)
  • Applicants must show how capability building will be sustained beyond a single project, drive continuous improvement, and align with longer-term company goals; outcomes must exceed existing industry standards

Support Rate

  • SMEs: Up to 70% (2025–2027), then up to 50% (2027–2030)
  • Non-SMEs: Up to 50% (2025–2027), then up to 30% (2027–2030)

Qualifying Expenditure Details: 
Covers equipment, software, materials, consultancy and professional services related to enterprise, technology, and manpower capability building

Other Important Information

  • The BETC replaces the Productivity Innovation Project (PIP) Grant, which ended on 31/03/2025
  • Funding is disbursed on a reimbursement basis—applicants must provide proof of incurred costs such as invoices and receipts
  • The evaluation of each application considers expected transformation outcomes, level of innovation, and the investment costs of the proposed initiative
